Flip Flops Under 8 Dollars At Payless
Next month I plan on taking a cruise to Mexico. I just bought a new fabulous chocolate swimsuit and I need some beach shoes, flip-flops to match my swimwear. I plan to check out Payless BOGO Sale - Buy One, Get One Half Off
this week. I don't wear flip-flops or any shoe with a strap between the toe very often because the strap irritates me. However, to pull my swimsuit together, I'll just have to suffer.

Yummy Chocolate Shoes at Nordstrom's
Yesterday my mother and I headed to one of our favorite stores, Nordstrom’s. My goal was to find a pair of chocolate pumps, slingbacks or peep toe heels to match my new After 5 dress. Of course, as soon as we hit Nordstrom’s shoe department, sandals, pumps, flats, wedges and every other type of shoe you can think of caught our attention.
We were greeted by a very nice looking male sales clerk who graciously presented me with 6 different pairs of shoes in size 11. A pair of chocolate scalloped peep-toe heels by Nina caught my attention. They were true to size. I strolled around for a couple of seconds and garnered a few admiring glances. I told my they felt great on my feet and they are perfect for my new dress.
This past Monday my mom bought a pair of patent leather peep-toe shoes by Enzo Angiolini. Although we have the same impeccable taste in clothes and shoes, we rarely buy the same shoes or clothes. In this case, I had to make an exception to the rule. If you’re 30 something heading for 40 something…You absolutely need a pair of shoes that make your legs look incredible and make you feel like a superstar. I absolutely love both pairs of shoes. So, I told the attractive salesman that I’d take the Enzo Angiolini’s and the Nina’s. I guess it end up being a “peep-toe” shoe shopping day.

High Heels
If you have a love/hate relationship with high heels, then this article is for you:
The Forever Famous High Heel
The high heel usually conjours up images of long legged women teetering around in towering shoes.
Women have this love/hate relationship with them. Some just save them for special occasions whilst others, loving the benefits of their legs appearing slimmer and longer, won’t wear anything else.
Surprisingly way back in the 17th century it was men who commonly wore heels which is quite a frightening concept. Nowadays the only shoe a man would wear with a heel would be a cowboy boot.
High heeled shoes actually change a woman’s posture and of course shows off their calves, makes their legs appear slimmer, longer and of course adds a little height enabling the woman to feel a little more confident.
High heels emphasize the walking gait which basically means your walk becomes far sexier because the height of the heel actually forces your hips to swing a little further to each side as you move.
Despite the associations of high heels being painful to wear, shortening your walk stride, damaging feet and tendons and of course increasing the risk of tripping over, resulting in sprained ankles, the enormous benefits and overall appearance they give makes them irresistible to most women.
Platform sandals can be traced back to 200 years B.C. and it wasn’t until 1955 that the world famous stiletto heel was invented in Italy.
Despite the ever changing variations of the high heels, the stiletto has always and will always remain in vogue.
Fashion has a tendency to repeat itself. The high heeled styles of the 1960’s like the winkle picker, the platforms of the 1970’s and stilettos of the 1980’s have all had a second time around throughout the nineties and into the millennium.
You could buy yourself a decent pair of high heels and never feel they go out of fashion. There is always an occasion or an outfit that those shoes will look good with and remain in fashion with.

If you’re not really fashion savvy, you need a little help determing what looks good on you. Occasionally, I catch an episode of What Not To Wear. The style gurus on the show help women look good and feel great.
